In Social Thinking Across the Home and School Day, Michelle presents a DVD workshop defining the ILAUGH framework, her six-point model of social thinking, for helping students with autism spectrum disorders who are higher-functioning on the spectrum, and similar social and communication challenges. The focus of this workshop is the fact that students with social thinking deficits express these deficits not only during social interaction but also in the classroom. They may have difficulty working as part of a group, interpreting and producing abstract language and organizational challenges. Strategies are presented for assisting these students across their home and school day. The DVD supports professionals, parents and other caregivers in the teaching and treatment of students from K-12th grade. The DVD is not intended to be viewed by the students directly; rather the concepts are taken back to the classroom, therapy room, home and other settings.
